The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station Wedding | Corinna + William

April 12, 2018

The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station Wedding {10.08.17}

Corinna + Bill have a very unique love story.  The one thing that they each loved most in the world is exactly what brought them together.

It was at baseball tryouts (and no, baseball isn’t the thing they each love most in the world) that Bill approached Corinna and struck up a conversation with her.  They were both there with their 9/10 year old sons, (there’s the thing!) and Bill spotted Corinna and they very easily chatted.  It was on the way home from the field that day that the thought crossed Corinna’s mind that she wouldn’t mind being with someone like that, maybe even him!  Well, she didn’t have to wait long thanks to a guy like Bill, who seems to know what he likes and not be afraid to go for it.  He asked her out on a date a couple of days later, but not just any date.  Bill showed Corinna what a gentleman is and had her smiling from go.  Coming into her house to get her and walk her to the car, followed by easy conversation at Anthony J’s.  I’m sure a lot of that conversation included talking about their sons, who they both think of as their greatest gifts.  Bill admires Corinna’s ability to care for all “three of her boys”, and says that even when she doesn’t think she’s doing the job perfectly, she is. Naturally Corinna calls Bill an outstanding father, and that along with how he treats her and her son is what she loves most about him.

It’s really no surprise that when it came time for Bill to propose to Corinna, the boys had to be involved.  It began with their help choosing the ring and the location.  They decided on the perfect spot, Scott’s Farm, in the apple orchard, and spent the afternoon apple picking.  I love when I hear that the proposee (?) isn’t even suspicious because it’s not uncommon to be doing things like apple picking and the proposer being super sweet.  And this was exactly the case for Corinna.  So when it came to Bill getting down on one knee, she was extremely surprised!  Bill pulled off the perfect surprise proposal!!  They spent the rest of the day together and the smile never left Corinna’s face.

Corinna + Bill planned their wedding for October 8th.  They had visions for a perfect New England autumn wedding, and that was exactly what they got.  They chose to do a first look at Gillette Castle, a gorgeous Connecticut historical site with an enormous stone castle and beautiful landscape overlooking the river.  Corinna looked like she walked out of a magazine as she approached Bill in her Enzoani Bridal gown.  Her eyes are the most stunning thing you have ever seen, and Brittany from Posh Salon in Niantic did an amazing job highlighting them along with all of her natural beauty.  After a few moments of tears and laughs and hugs and huge smiles we joined with the family and bridal party to use up some more of the great locations on the property.  Afterwards we headed to The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station for their ceremony and reception.  The place was warm and glowing with candles and fall colors everywhere.  A string quartet played for guests and as Corinna walked down the aisle. The couple exchanged vows and shared a moment celebrating the 4 of them becoming one family.  Their faith in God is extremely important to their family circle, and that was interwoven throughout the pastor’s program.  At the reception Corinna + Bill shared their sweetheart table with their sons, and also many laughs and tears and hugs.  It was a gorgeous reception, so perfect for this beautiful couple and their absolutely wonderful children.

I was very fortunate to have met Corinna a couple months before Bill proposed, and we even got to spend some time together at the beach (both of our favorite places!) So of course this wedding was a little more personal for me.  I got to know first hand how amazing of a mother Corinna is, how much she loves her son, how she had spent a long time being such a strong and independent single mother.  And while I heard wonderful things about Bill, it wasn’t until I got to meet him that I understood he also shared the same passion for raising his son to be a good man, and he is doing this first and foremost by leading by example.  I am so excited to see this family grow, and hear all about their travels and adventures.  Linski Family, you are truly one of a kind and a unique blend of love, faith and happily ever after.  Keep being you 🙂
