Grace + Seth planned a beautiful Saltwater Farm wedding to celebrate their love.  This was a destination wedding for the couple, who planned most of it from Miami.  And with the help of some awesome friends, family, and of course Daly doing the wedding planning, it came together perfectly!

Seth + Grace’s friendship began back in high school, her freshman year.

It wasn’t an instant romance, that took some time, but there was a lot they knew they admired about each other.  Like how Seth risked a hoard of bumble bees to be the knight in shining armor and get Grace some lemonade on the day they met.  And then when he delivered some quirky line about getting it, it didn’t scare her off but made her appreciate his valiant efforts.  Years went by, and eventually they went on their first date, which happened to be a very casual Dunkin’ run.

But Grace called it an actual date and that made Seth the happiest.

After that, even though Seth knew that this girl was the one, they still had some kinks to work out. Grace was headed to Miami and wasn’t sure that a long distance relationship was something she wanted.  Eventually she changed her mind when she heard Seth give some sage advice to a friend.  Something along the lines of being willing to wait forever for “the one” and shooting Grace a glance.

That walk in the woods set the tone for their relationship.  They still enjoy a walk in the woods, while Seth plays guitar.  This is exactly how the proposal happened.  Fast forward some years and on a New England thanksgiving weekend (it doesn’t get much better than that!) Seth took Grace out on a walk and popped the question after playing her “their song”, with his family waiting back at the house.  Grace of course said yes, and they began to plan their wedding.

One thing that should be noted about Grace is that she is a very strong, smart woman with a passion for writing.

Her Instagram account, @graceslawksiwrites and her blog #breastcancerfeminist and podcast Pink Investigations need to be mentioned because Grace lost her mother at a very young age to breast cancer.  She has taken this life changing event and turned it into a source of encouragement, research, and help for others enduring this type of life experience.  This is in part the reason Grace is the independent, gracious, passionate woman that she is, and I think everyone could benefit from her spirit and genuinely joyful soul!

That joyful spirit was on full display on Grace + Seth’s Saltwater Farm wedding day.  Grace was laughing from getting ready in the morning, to the wedding ceremony, and all through the night.  There were some emotional moments, mostly documenting the way that Grace had honored her mother throughout the day.  Her veil came from the one her mother wore on her wedding day.  The pearls her dad put on her were also her mothers, and her bouquet was replicated to look just like her mothers.

It was a beautiful thing to see how much this couple truly enjoyed their Saltwater Farm wedding day.

They surprised the guests with a pretty epic entrance, which was actually the two of them sneaking to where the band was set up and Seth playing the guitar while Grace played the drums.  They used to play in a band together before life got a little crazy, and they really entertained all!  After a little cake-in-the-face smashing, we went outside to enjoy the beautiful night and I photographed the couple under the colorful sky in the vineyard.

Grace + Seth thank you so much for having me along on this journey!  I can’t wait to see where life takes you guys and I wish you the very best of the best.
