Nicole & Brooke’s Backyard Wedding {10.12.19}
There is something so special about an intimate wedding, I think facing a pandemic and postponements, smaller ceremonies have become quite popular. What I love about them is how couple focused they truly are. While, of course, every wedding day is about the couple and their one-of-a-kind love story, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of a normal wedding day and forget to really be in the moment with your new spouse. Intimate, smaller wedding days have a unique way of allowing you to cherish every minute without giving up the beauty of a wedding as a whole!
The truth is, no matter the date, or the place, or who is there or not there, you get to marry your person… your best friend. You’re adding one of the most significant chapters to your love story. And you have the right to celebrate where, when, how AND however many times you want. There are no rules!
Nicole and Brooke chose to have an intimate wedding day before it was cool 😉
In fact, they’re wedding was exceptionally unique! They had a surprise wedding! Brooke and Nicole planned their wedding in about 2 weeks and completely surprised their families! They all thought they were coming over for dinner, but instead it was a backyard wedding ceremony and celebration! The reactions of all their friends and family was priceless, and just what you’d expect! One of my favorite things about their wedding day was how they included both of their pups… and they were just as excited as their guests!
Brooke and Nicole are a true representation of making sure your wedding day is truly about YOU! Sometimes stripping down all of the details and the guest list and celebrating just with those truly important to you is what really makes it a day to remember! Nicole was even in an air cast most of the day thanks to a broken foot (and somehow still hiked through the woods!) and I can guarantee you they wouldn’t have done it any other way!! That’s a love story for the ages!
Congratulations Nicole + Brooke, I am so thankful to have been a part of such a special day in both of your lives! I wish you many many years of love and happiness.
