Married under a rainbow…
On Kristen + Henri’s wedding day, the most incredible rainbow came out during their portraits for some magical captures! But even more magical than that is their proposal story. These two, low-key lovers have tried to make everything about their love story simple and true to who they are as a couple… their proposal was no different. While Kristen was out, Henri filled their apartment with tea light candles and put on some soft country music while he prepared his speech and waited for her to return. Once she did, he got down on one knee and asked her to spend forever together. It was so perfectly sweet and “them.”
Their wedding day was truly no different. The couple planned a simple, vintage-style day on her mom’s property in Groton, CT with no wedding party and only their closest people. Kristen wore a vintage lace wedding gown that she literally thrifted from Brides 2 Be Consignment Shop which looked like it was made just for her!! They proudly shared that basically the entire wedding was DIY from thrifted decor, handmade floral arrangements, and even the trellis they were married under was built by Henri and his dad. What a day it was!
Such a lovely day for two lovely souls!! So glad I could be there!
