{Great River Golf Club 9.17.22}
Great River Golf Club was the perfect setting for Michelle and Joseph’s dreamy September wedding day in Milford, Connecticut. This stunning venue seriously has it all—lush green grounds, golden hour glow, and an indoor reception space that feels so classic and romantic. It was the ideal spot for a wedding that felt like a heartfelt celebration from beginning to end.
Golden hour ceremony + the sweetest first look…
These two kicked off their day with the most emotional first look—cue the happy tears. You could feel the love between them just radiating, and that energy never let up the entire day. After sharing that sweet moment, they exchanged vows outside under the softest golden light. The ceremony space at Great River Golf Club is surrounded by trees and open skies, and it set the stage for something truly magical.
Right after the ceremony, we snuck away for newlywed portraits across the property. The tall grass, sweeping views, and that golden hour light that makes everything look like a vintage film still. Michelle’s dress from The White Dress by the Shore moved like a dream, and Joseph looked so sharp in his classic suit from Menguin. It was the perfect blend of timeless and modern.
A party to remember…
Inside the reception space, Wild Grown Floral brought in the most gorgeous arrangements—think soft blush tones, textured greenery, and that slightly wild, romantic vibe. The whole space felt warm and intimate, and the energy was next-level.
Critical Entertainment kept the dance floor packed all night, and the Mirror Me CT photo booth added such a fun touch (those photo strips make the best keepsakes!). Michelle and her girls looked stunning thanks to A Touch of Color Salon, and the bridesmaids’ dresses from Azazie complemented the floral palette so perfectly.
It was one of those wedding days where every detail felt personal and full of heart—and honestly, those are my favorite to photograph. Emotional, artful moments that feel like a dream? Yes please.
If you’re planning a wedding in Connecticut (or anywhere in New England!) and you’re dreaming of emotional, timeless images with that vintage film feel, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re getting married at a classic golf club like this or somewhere totally off the beaten path, let’s make some art together.
