Literally never getting over mary + cody’s harkness park engagement session!!!

The crisp air, fall leaves, and the most incredible golden light in November made for the perfect setting for their cozy and fun engagement pictures. Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut is one of my favorite spots to shoot, especially during that dreamy late-fall glow — and Mary + Cody made the whole place feel straight-up magical.

We started the session off with shots (obviously!!) to literally warm them up for the session and keep them feeling loose and natural in front of the camera. Pro tip: nothing sets the tone like a little tequila and a whole lot of laughter. From the first few frames, these two were so connected and completely themselves. That’s always my goal as a wedding and engagement photographer — to create space for genuine moments and capture love in a way that feels emotional, real, and like a piece of art.

And let me tell you, they absolutely KILLED it! Not only did they keep the tequila flowing, but they also brought pizza for some adorable date-night-style shots on the steps of Eolia Mansion. Such a fun and personal touch that totally reflected their playful, down-to-earth vibe.

Before the sun dipped too low, they did a quick outfit change and we caught the most breathtaking blue hour photos — the sky turned to literal cotton candy and the moon showed up at just the right moment. What a literal DREAM.
