When Katie and Xavier first met back in 2016, they had no idea that a shared class in Gross Anatomy at Boston University would lead to a love story for the ages. Katie told me she just knew from the moment they met that Xavier was her person. Fast forward to June of 2022, when Xavier popped the question, and the rest, as they say, is history. Their Eolia Mansion wedding day was the perfect start to the next chapter in their beautiful journey together, and I had the honor of capturing it all.

The couple’s wedding took place on a warm June day at Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park in Waterford, Connecticut. The venue was absolutely stunning—everything you’d expect from a historic estate with breathtaking views of Long Island Sound. From the manicured gardens to the charming mansion, it was an absolute dream location for their celebration.

A unique first look with dad…

One of my favorite moments from their day had to be Katie’s first look with her dad. The two of them shared a special bond, and instead of just the usual emotional exchange, they took a few minutes to toss a softball back and forth. This simple, sweet tradition really set the tone for the day and highlighted the love and fun they share. It was one of those moments that felt so real—like something straight out of a family photo album.

The iconic bubble exit…

Another unforgettable moment came right after their ceremony when Katie and Xavier walked down the aisle as newlyweds. The bubble exit was a total hit, and you could just see the joy radiating off of them as they celebrated their love. It was such a playful and lighthearted way to kick off their new life together. I absolutely loved capturing those candid moments as they laughed and shared a quiet moment in the bubbles.

Golden hour portraits + a day to remember…

As the sun began to set, we took Katie and Xavier out for their couple portraits. Golden hour light at Eolia Mansion? Pure magic. These portraits are some of my favorite from their day—soft, glowing, and full of emotion. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love capturing weddings. Every image feels like a piece of art, telling a beautiful story of love and connection.

From the intimate moments to the grand celebrations, Katie and Xavier’s wedding was everything you could hope for—emotional, joyful, and full of love. It was a day where everything fell into place perfectly, and I’m so grateful I could be there to witness and capture it.
