Saltwater Farm Vineyard Wedding | Jackie + Jeremy

June 24, 2023

{Saltwater Farm Vineyard 6.24.23}

Jackie + Jeremy were married on a soft, overcast summer day at the end of June—and honestly, it was the perfect weather for the kind of intimate, emotional wedding they dreamed of. Their venue, the always-gorgeous Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, Connecticut (a total favorite of mine!), gave us those dreamy vineyard views, rustic-modern architecture, and so many quiet, romantic corners for portraits that feel like they belong in an old film.

Sweet, private vows…

Jackie looked absolutely stunning in her lace mermaid gown from Virginia’s Bridal. That plunging deep-v neckline and sweetheart bodice fit her like a glove, and the lace train was just chef’s kiss. Her bridal look was simple and timeless—a soft braided updo by Chameleon Brides, paired with natural makeup that highlighted her features without overpowering them. She truly glowed all day.

After getting ready with her girls (in soft dusty blue dresses from Azazie), Jackie met Jeremy out in the vineyard for their first look—and I swear, I’ll never forget his reaction. That huge smile. The tears. The way he held her like he couldn’t believe the moment had finally come. They exchanged private vows before the ceremony, tucked between the vines. It was just the two of them, their words, and the wind—and I was lucky enough to quietly document it all.

A ceremony + reception among the vines…

Their ceremony was simple, heartfelt, and surrounded by rows of lush green vines. Kellie Rose Florals worked her magic on a floral arch that framed the couple perfectly, blending romantic white blooms with soft greenery and just a hint of blush.

After they said “I do,” guests moved into the reception space—Saltwater Farm’s mix of rustic beams and industrial-chic finishes always gives the perfect backdrop. Daly Planning made sure everything flowed seamlessly, and Gourmet Galley served up an incredible dinner (yes, I had the risotto and yes, it was that good). The cake by Zest was almost too pretty to eat… but we definitely still ate it.

Dawson Entertainment handled both the DJing and lighting, and they did not disappoint. The dance floor was packed all night. We ended the evening with some of my favorite kinds of photos—blurry dance floor moments, wild laughter, and the kind of messy, joy-filled energy you can’t fake.

Jackie + Jeremy’s day was filled with so much real, unfiltered emotion—happy tears, big hugs, laughter that echoed through the vines. It’s weddings like this that remind me why I love being a wedding photographer in Mystic, Connecticut. My goal is always to create emotional, artful imagery that feels like it could’ve been pulled from a vintage photo album—and this day gave me so much beauty to work with.
