To say Nikki and Josh’s wedding was beautiful would be such an understatement. Sure, the details were absolutely stunning—we’re talking vineyard views, lush florals, and an indoor reception space that glowed—but it was the feeling of the day that really got me. These two are so deeply in love, so genuinely kind, and the energy they brought to Saltwater Farm Vineyard was something I’ll never forget.
Their Mystic, Connecticut wedding was everything I adore as a photographer: emotional, artful, and full of those in-between moments that feel like a vintage film still. I’m still thinking about the way Josh teared up—not once, but multiple times—during their ceremony. Literal heart-melt.
Emotional moments + vintage vibes at Saltwater Farm Vineyard…
Nikki looked absolutely radiant in her Made with Love Bridal gown from The White Dress by the Shore. The deep V neckline and soft cap sleeves? So effortlessly elegant and totally her. We kicked off the day with a super sweet first look—cue all the happy tears—and then wandered the vineyard for portraits. The golden light, the rolling vines, their genuine connection… it all just worked.
Their ceremony took place outdoors in front of the vineyard, and even though they’d already seen each other, Josh was still wiping away tears as Nikki walked down the aisle. I live for those emotional moments. The kind you feel in the photos. The kind you hang on your wall for decades.
Once they were officially husband + wife (!!!), we moved inside for the reception—and oh my gosh, what. a. party. Dawson Entertainment brought the energy all night long, and the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. Their lighting setup transformed the space into a total vibe, and I honestly didn’t want the night to end.
Every detail was so intentional—from the gorgeous floral arrangements by Stylish Blooms, to the amazing food from Gourmet Galley, to the way Nikki and Josh took time to soak in every little moment. Their people showed up for them in the most beautiful way, and you could just feel how much love was in the room.
I’m so grateful to have been a part of this day. Documenting weddings like this—ones full of heart, joy, and deep connection—is exactly why I do what I do. If you’re dreaming up your own emotional, artful wedding in Mystic, Connecticut or beyond, let’s make some magic together.
