Taylor and Corey’s mid-October wedding day was the kind of perfectly imperfect that I absolutely adore. Yes, it rained—but honestly, the weather added so much to the cozy, romantic vibe of the day. From the moment we arrived, there was this quiet excitement in the air. We started the day by spending time with both Taylor and Corey as they got ready separately, each surrounded by their favorite people. The energy was warm, emotional, and full of anticipation.
Soon enough, it was time to head to the ceremony. Since it was raining, their indoor church ceremony felt even more intimate and heartfelt. I’m obsessed with the black and white snaps from this part of the day—there’s something about the soft lighting, the gentle sound of rain outside, and the way these two looked at each other that made it feel straight out of a classic film. Every glance, every little hand squeeze, every tear—it was raw, romantic, and so full of meaning.
After the ceremony, we made our way to one of my absolute favorite venues in Connecticut—Mystic Seaport. Even with the rain, it delivered. We wandered through the historic grounds, found little covered spots for portraits, and embraced all the moody fall vibes. Taylor and Corey were total champs, laughing and leaning into the moment together. That’s the kind of energy I live for—real, emotional, candid moments that feel like art.
Then came the reception, and let me tell you—it was a party. Meritage DJ brought the best energy and kept the dance floor packed all night. Everyone was on their feet, dancing like nobody was watching (but of course, I was—camera in hand!).
To top it all off, the night ended with a surprise firework show. Taylor wrapped herself in the cutest little fur shawl, and the two of them stepped outside to cuddle up and watch the sky light up as newlyweds. It was quiet, beautiful, and absolutely magical.
