You know when a couple just fits? Like, the kind of connection that feels easy and genuine and full of those little glances that say I love doing life with you? That’s exactly how it felt photographing Meg and Kyle’s Downtown Mystic engagement session.
We shot their session in December, and honestly—it was giving full-on Hallmark movie vibes. Think twinkle lights, cozy downtown storefronts, and that magical small-town charm that Mystic does so well around the holidays. It felt like the coziest little date night, complete with stops at Mystic Pizza, Sift Bake Shop, MIX, and a stroll by the water near S&P Oyster Restaurant and Bar. It was festive, laid-back, and so them.
A love that just felt right!
Meg and Kyle’s story starts in South Boston—one of those classic modern-day love stories, a Hinge match that turned into something so much more. Their first date was at The Broadway during those post-pandemic days when restaurant time limits meant their date felt a little like speed dating. But even with nerves and a 90-minute cap, something clicked. No overthinking, no huge aha moment—just a quiet knowing that this was it.
As they put it: it just felt right. And honestly? Watching them interact during our session, you can see that sense of ease and closeness between them.
The proposal! Cue all the heart eyes 😍
Kyle proposed on the beach during a sunset in the Azores (yes, it was as dreamy as it sounds). He’d been carrying the ring around their entire trip, waiting for just the right moment. After a grocery store run for wine and cheese—very Meg and Kyle—they ended up watching the sunset on the beach, walking hand-in-hand as golden light melted into the waves. That’s when he popped the question. No crowd, no big production. Just them, the ocean, and a really beautiful beginning.
Their downtown mystic engagement sesh!
We wandered through some of Mystic’s most iconic spots, capturing the two of them laughing over slices at Mystic Pizza, stealing little kisses outside of Sift, and cozying up near the water. Everything about this session felt relaxed and effortless—like a real date night captured on film. They were playful, sweet, and fully in the moment. And that made every frame feel like a piece of art.
What they’re most excited for:
These two are counting down to their October 2025 wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and I already know it’s going to be one for the books. They’re looking forward to having all their favorite people in one place, dancing their hearts out, and just soaking in every moment of the celebration.
Beyond the wedding, they’re dreaming of family life, making new traditions, and growing together through it all. As Meg put it—it’s about appreciating the little things. And from what I’ve seen? These two are already doing just that.
