Abby and Adam’s wedding day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard felt like everything I love about early fall in Connecticut. The light was soft, the air had that warm October glow, and everyone showed up ready to celebrate. Their vibe for the day was simple, fun and modern. It felt so true to who they are as a couple.

I met Abby and Adam through their planning process and it was clear right away how much they cared about their guests having the best experience. Abby told me she wanted people to leave saying that it was the most fun wedding ever. From start to finish, the entire day was filled with joyful energy, easy laughter and so many sweet moments.

The love story

Abby and Adam first met in Spanish class at Boston University. They were not friends at the time but that changed in 2019 when they reconnected at a St. Patrick’s Day party in South Boston. Their first few dates were casual and scattered, which makes their story even sweeter. By that summer Abby told her friend that she was pretty sure she would marry him one day. She said she felt comfortable with him right away. She described it as the kind of knowing that everyone talks about.

Their proposal took place in Watch Hill in the gazebo with Adam’s cousin and his wife there to take photos. Their dog Murphy joined them and made it even more special. Abby thought he would propose at a family party the day before but her mom mentioned that it might feel stressful. Adam changed the plan and created the low pressure moment she hoped for. After the proposal they went to Grey Sail and soaked in the excitement.

The big day

We had some weather challenges on their wedding day unfortunately with a day full of clouds and rain, but everyone made the best of it! We got creative with photo locations and with their help of her incredible planners at SES Events, the day went off without a hitch! Abby looked gorgeous in her gown from Alexandra’s Boutique and Adam wore a classic suit from The Black Tux. The florals by Hana Floral Design added the perfect modern touch. Everything felt intentional and relaxed. And with a mix of both film and digital photos, we captured so many special moments!

One of my favorite parts of the day was how present they both were. They laughed with their friends, hugged their families, and had the best time on the dance floor. It felt like the exact guest experience Abby dreamed of. The celebration moved so naturally from one moment to the next and the entire day matched their simple and modern aesthetic.

The future

Abby and Adam love to travel and hope to revisit some of their favorite spots in Europe. They dream about a beach house one day and a home filled with friends and future kids. Hearing them talk about their future made the entire day feel even sweeter.
