If rain on your wedding day is good luck, Maura + Travis have bucket-fulls of the best luck coming their way. On the drive to Maura’s getting-ready spot—a beautiful family home on Mason’s Island—the skies opened up in classic New England fashion. It was the kind of torrential downpour that makes you double-check your wipers are working. But inside, the vibe couldn’t have been more peaceful. Maura was calm and smiling, soaking in the morning with her mom, sister, and the cutest little flower girl (her niece!).

As if the weather was listening to her energy, the rain cleared just as Maura was finishing hair and makeup. Perfect timing for an outdoor celebration on the water. And wow, was this wedding something special.

A love that’s been growing for years…

Maura + Travis have been part of each other’s lives for a long time—18 years of friendship, 10 years as a couple, and more memories than most couples make in a lifetime. From their first date at Go Fish (which has a surprisingly solid matchmaking track record), to their shared love of travel, Phish concerts, cooking, and just being together—this relationship is built on deep love and genuine joy.

So yes, the proposal was inevitable—but also perfectly timed. After a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at the Spicer Mansion, Travis planned to propose back at home by the fireplace. Maura was in pajamas and ready for bed when she turned around to find him on one knee. There were a few shocked “nooo way!”s… and then a very happy yes, just before the clock struck midnight.

A dreamy seaside ceremony…

After a year of planning, the big day had finally arrived. The ceremony took place outside at the Mason’s Island Yacht Club, and I swear it felt like something out of a storybook. Picture twinkle lights hanging from the trees, boats drifting in and out of the mist, and a warm breeze off the water as Wooly Mammoth played live music for the guests.

The ceremony was beautifully personal, full of laughter, tears, and happy sighs. Maura walked down the aisle with her dad, glowing. Travis’s face when he saw her? Absolutely melted me. The wooden arch draped in ombré macramé was straight out of my boho dreams, and the whole space felt so them—cozy, joyful, and full of love.

Celebration, heartfelt moments + a packed dance floor…

After their heartfelt “I do’s,” we took family photos and soaked up the joy of everyone who came to celebrate these two. Dinner was a blend of indoor and outdoor seating, and laughter echoed through the whole evening. One moment that stuck with me? Travis taking the mic during dinner to thank everyone—and then turning to Maura to tell her how much he loved her. It was so genuine and sweet, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the day.

And when Sunday Gravy started playing? The dance floor was full within seconds. The energy was electric—it was one of those nights where you could feel how loved the couple was by everyone around them.
