Jen + Bobby’s wedding day was the dreamiest mix of heartfelt moments, colorful florals, and just the right amount of nautical flair. Set in charming Mystic, Connecticut, their August celebration had that golden summer light and so many personal touches that made their day feel so them. From the emotional ceremony at Saint Clare Church to the party of all parties at Latitude 41, everything about their day felt intentional and artful—right down to their matching “Captain” and “First Mate” hats at sunset (more on that in a sec!).
All the wedding day details…
Jen looked absolutely radiant in her strapless lace gown from Melissa Ashley Brides. It had this perfect blend of modern elegance and romantic detail that fit the vibe of the day so well. Her girls stood beside her in bright teal bridesmaid dresses from David’s Bridal. Their dresses added the most joyful pop of color to the entire day.
Bobby was looking sharp in a custom blue suit from Kenneth Cole, and his groomsmen rocked light grey suits from Perry Ellis. But the real showstoppers? Their floral ties. I’m still not over them—they tied everything together in such a fun, stylish way.
Rosanna’s Florist created the most stunning arrangements—bold, colorful, and full of texture. The bouquets felt like they were plucked from a summer garden, and the reception florals completely transformed the space at Latitude 41 into something magical.
Ceremony, trolley rides + golden hour magic…
Jen and Bobby exchanged vows in a sweet, faith-filled ceremony at Saint Clare Church surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was one of those moments that had everyone a little misty-eyed (myself included).
After the ceremony, the wedding party hopped on the cutest trolley for the ride over to Latitude 41, which is hands-down one of my favorite venues to photograph in Mystic. The coastal charm, big open windows, and waterfront views make it such a stunning backdrop for an emotional, artful wedding day.
And of course, we snuck out during golden hour for some portraits—and wow. That light, the joy between them, the matching nautical hats… it all came together like a scene from a vintage postcard. Definitely some of my favorite images from the day.
