Inn at Mystic Wedding | Tess + Randall

September 10, 2022

{Inn at Mystic 9.10.22}

Tess and Randall’s wedding at the Inn at Mystic was the kind of day that makes your heart ache in the best way. It was sunny, breezy, and just warm enough to keep everyone smiling—and oh my gosh, the light? Absolutely golden. The kind of light that makes every photo feel like it belongs in an old film reel.

From start to finish, their day was filled with laughter, happy tears, and so much love. As a wedding photographer based in Mystic, Connecticut, it’s days like this that make me pinch myself. Emotional, artful imagery just happens when two people love each other this much.

A dress made for the wind (+ the moment)!

Tess wore a sleek silk gown from Melissa Ashley Brides that flowed like water with every step. It was timeless, elegant, and honestly, felt like it was designed just for her. Her cathedral-length veil? Studded with delicate jewels that caught the sunlight in the dreamiest way—and it blew perfectly in the wind all day long. Literal veil goals.

The bridesmaids wore soft blush gowns from the same boutique, and the whole look came together like a romantic daydream. Randall and the guys looked sharp in classic black tuxes from The Black Tux, adding just the right amount of old-school charm to the day.

Florals overflowing with romance…

Let’s talk about the flowers for a sec—because WOW. Montville Florist absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the lush, blush-toned bouquets to the ceremony arbor dripping in greenery and soft white florals, everything felt soft and romantic. The ceremony space looked straight out of a movie set.

The arbor framed their vows perfectly, and as Tess and Randall said “I do,” the wind rustled the leaves just enough to feel like nature was cheering them on. It was magic.

A dance floor to remember…

After dinner (thank you to the Inn at Mystic for not only hosting but also catering an incredible meal), the night really kicked off. All Star Wedding DJ brought the party with the perfect mix of classics and crowd-pleasers. The dance floor was packed all night—no exaggeration. I had the best time capturing all those fun, candid moments of guests absolutely letting loose.

And let’s not forget the cake! Chocolate Rose Bakeshop created the most delicious (and beautiful) layered cake that looked too good to eat—but obviously, everyone did. And loved every bite.

Tess and Randall, thank you for trusting me to capture your love story. From the quiet getting-ready moments to the wild dance floor shots, your day was everything a wedding should be: full of heart, joy, and connection.
