Meadow Brook Inn Wedding | Ainslie + Tim

May 19, 2018

{Meadow Brook Inn 05.19.18}

Ainslie had a feeling Tim was the one before they even met.
The minute a mutual friend suggested they should go out, she got that gut feeling that “this is it.” And honestly after their first date, it kind of was. Maybe it was the fact that Tim backed into a telephone pole and whipped a U-turn on Route 1 with no shame whatsoever. Or maybe it was the way they joked and chatted like old friends over beers at The Haversham. Whatever it was, their chill, fun-loving vibe was there from the start. And it carried them all the way to the dance floor on their wedding day at Meadow Brook Inn.

Custom touches + heartfelt details…

Three years after that first date, Tim popped the question with a ring that was just as meaningful as the proposal itself. He had it custom-made with a diamond passed down from his mom—a detail that speaks volumes about how close-knit and sentimental these two are. That same sense of family showed up throughout their wedding day. From the stained-glass purple hearts handmade by Tim’s mother to the custom calligraphy created by a close friend of Ainslie’s, their day was full of heartfelt, personal touches.

Rain, umbrellas + nonstop laughter…

Even a little last-minute rain couldn’t dampen their spirits. They moved the ceremony inside without skipping a beat. The bridal party grabbed umbrellas and turned what could’ve been a bummer into one of the most hilarious (and photogenic!) parts of the day. Tim couldn’t resist making goofy faces at me during portraits—and Ainslie, of course, couldn’t stop laughing at him. It was so them. Honestly, these two are the kind of couple that makes the most out of every moment.

Vintage romance meets laid back vibes…

Ainslie looked absolutely stunning in a Justin Alexander gown from Bridal Garden, with a romantic long veil edged in lace that gave everything a soft, vintage film feel. Tim kept things classic in a three-piece grey suit, and together, they struck that perfect balance of elegant and easygoing. I loved how they leaned into their personalities, from the neon signs to the playful nods to their favorite beer (yes, there was Miller Lite signage—how could there not be?!).

The team at Meadow Brook Inn handled the catering and venue details beautifully, making everything feel seamless and cozy. Once guests had their fill of the buffet, the energy shifted from sentimental to celebratory—and the dance floor exploded. Thanks to Johnny Mac’s Music, the vibe was exactly what Tim and Ainslie had hoped for: fun, relaxed, and totally unforgettable.

A story that’s just the beginning!

One of Ainslie’s favorite memories from their relationship is seeing Zac Brown Band at Fenway Park. She remembers dancing, singing, and snapping endless selfies with Tim and their friends. On the walk back to their hotel, he kept sticking his head in random car windows trying to find their Uber. Honestly? I left their wedding before the final dance, but something tells me he pulled the same move in the Meadow Brook parking lot that night.

Beyond the jokes and the dancing, there’s something deeper that shines through in every photo: how much they genuinely love each other. Ainslie adores Tim’s ability to make people laugh, his social butterfly energy, and the way he throws his whole heart into everything—especially his job as a police officer. Tim loves Ainslie’s kindness, her easy way with people, and the fact that she “puts up with my bullshit.”

They dream of building a home that becomes the heart of their family. Of traveling together—Jeep rides, dogs in tow, maybe even a yacht sailing around the Greek islands. But for now, it’s just the two of them (and maybe a few Miller Lites) soaking up newlywed life in sunny Mexico.

Ainslie + Tim—thank you for letting me be part of such a joyful, hilarious, love-filled day. Your Meadow Brook Inn wedding was so you. Emotional, artful, lighthearted, and unforgettable. I can’t wait to see where life takes you next.
