The way he looked at her is what I remember most from their day.  The way he stared straight into her eyes, and even though they have known each other since high school it was like he couldn’t get enough, he wanted more.

The way he rubbed her hand at the alter while he was staring at her.  Like he couldn’t believe she was real and needed to touch her just to be sure.

I loved capturing those emotions for Quincy + Judah.  I felt honored to be let into their celebration with their beautiful enormous family and loving friends.

Quincy + Judah have notebooks full of their love stories, from high school to college, and Judah knew since that year in high school that he was going to marry this girl.  She realized it when they were on a break but still wanted him to be the one to help her when she needed it.  And so there was a last “first” date, and no turning back since.  The proposal came at a family vacation on the Cape.  And while it might have been a little less of a surprise, it was still perfect for them.  And the celebration continued once Judah moved to be with Quincy in Texas, and I’m pretty sure they haven’t stopped celebrating once!

There is so much to say about this couple and their beautiful wedding day.  Judah is one of 10- yes TEN, children in his family.  All of the siblings were at the wedding, which was really cool to look at them all, notice the resemblances that tied them all together.  Naturally that also meant some really adorable little kiddos running around as well!  Judah wanted to see Quincy for the first time on that day as she walked down the aisle.  Which was possibly the most dramatic entrance I’ve ever seen, thanks to a storm that did not show up on any radar but showed up right as she was about to walk down the stairs to her love.  Maybe it was just to ease the nerves, but we all headed upstairs for Quincy to be escorted to Judah by her father and it was the most beautiful moment you could imagine.  His look was priceless, their love undeniable. During the ceremony they had two special readings.  The first was a poem read by Judah’s grandmother which was also read at her wedding, and the second was a benediction given by Judah’s father.  This benediction was a scripture which Judah’s father had prayed over him every night when he was a child.

After an incredibly heartfelt ceremony we moved on to family portrait time, which I have to say I think the newlyweds enjoyed the most!  It was a little hectic but also so much fun having so much energy and so many people in one place, celebrating, congratulating, hugging and just loving on these two!  And they were for sure soaking it all in.   Not only do both Quincy + Judah have some amazing siblings and parents, but they also had grandparents there as well.  So. Much. Fun.

The partying had to start eventually, and the first dances were each beautiful stories to be told in themselves.  Both Quincy + Judah having a couple moments to hold on to each other and then to two of the most important people in their separate lives.   A blessing from Judah’s grandfather, a welcome from Quincy’s father, and toasts that rocked from Quincy’s sister and the best man.

In keeping with the family theme, Quincy kicked off the dancing with her mom, sister and brother to “Dancing in the Moonlight” a tradition for the three of them, and from there the dancing never stopped!!

Quincy + Judah you both are such wonderful AMAZING human beings.  I know our time spent together was short, but from the first phone calls to seeing you for the first time on your wedding day you were obviously my kinda people.  Your heartfelt care and concern and love for each other and everyone around you is so strong you can feel it.  I can’t wait to see how your love story will continue to grow, I’m so glad I get to watch.
