Architects Club Wedding {07.07.18} with Venue/Catering by The Architect’s Golf Club. DJ was Wesley Works. The bride wore Maggie Sottero from Mariella Creations bridesmaids wore Mori Lee from Dress Boutique of Mystic.  Groom/ Groomsmen wore Joseph Abboud from Men’s Wearhouse.

Stacey + Cody’s destination Architects Club wedding was a perfect summers day celebration. Not just for the couple but also for friends and family who travelled from near and far to watch them become Mr. + Mrs!

I was so happy to also be invited along on this journey.  Since getting to know the couple years ago at our CrossFit, I have watched their family grow. First with the adoption of their very sweet pup Zeus, and then with the proposal of course, and then with buying a new home.  It’s been a beautiful love story to watch, and this wedding was the icing on their cake!

Stacey + Cody met in college, and there was an instant level of comfort between the two of them from the very first date.  They continued to build their relationship over the years, finishing college and establishing careers. Stacey admired Cody for his caring, supportive and smart personality, and his natural ability to take anything apart and be able to put it back together by just looking at it. Probably what makes him the great engineer that he is!  Cody fell in love with her intelligence, caring personality, and of course beauty. BMW’s are not the only thing this guy loves!

The proposal came as a surprise to Stacey on one of their many active family outings with Zeus. Cody planned it just the way he knew she would love, since both of them consider any outside time with Zeus to be their favorite kind of date.  Of course it couldn’t be too serious however and Cody first popped the question with a ring pop. I have to tell you Cody, from a fellow carb lover like Stacey, that is a dangerous game!  Fortunately she didn’t take the candy and run, she of course said yes when the real deal was in Cody’s hands and he was down on one knee.

When it came time to have the Architects Club wedding of their dreams, the couple were in great hands.  It was a beautiful day on a beautiful golf course. We had fun in golf carts driving to the first look and all over afterwards, followed by a beautiful ceremony.  Stacey’s aunt officiated the ceremony, and their mothers lit the same unity candle that his sister, parents, aunts and uncles had also lit.  Well they tried to, the breeze may not have been the most cooperative!!  Cocktail hour was under a tent overlooking the course, with that same beautiful breeze flowing through.  The couple then entered and first danced in the beautiful ball room with all of their favorites looking on.  They each also shared a dance with their grandparents in addition to the father daughter and mother son dance.

Thanks to planning a destination wedding, Cody + Stacey had a whole weekend to spend with family.  I was welcomed into that amazing family from the second we met, and whether it was eating his mother’s delicious Italian cookies with them or drinking her dad’s wine, I fell in love with them all.  Stacey + Cody, you definitely have some beautiful role models in the family, and I know you will exemplify them in your life.
