{Glastonbury Boathouse Wedding 07.09.21}
I arrived at The Glastonbury Boathouse just in time to catch Alexis slipping into her absolutely stunning Frankie gown by Made with Love Bridal. Her dress was perfect for the day — a deep plunging neckline and floral lace bodice paired with a low v-backline and delicate lace train. It felt like the dress was made just for this warm summer wedding on the water. Meanwhile, Matt looked sharp in his navy blue 1905 collection suit from Jos. A. Bank, finished off with a bold blue and white floral tie that added a fun pop of personality.
A ceremony full of heartfelt moments…
Alexis waited to walk down the aisle arm in arm with her grandfather, saving their first look for this beautiful moment. When Matt saw her, his tear-filled smile said everything. Their non-traditional ceremony took place under a wooden arch draped in lush florals and sheer white chiffon — the perfect romantic backdrop. Matt’s uncle John officiated the ceremony with such warmth and charm. When these two sealed it with a kiss, they were officially husband and wife!
Portraits + golden hour magic…
After the ceremony, Matt, Alexis, and their wedding party were such a blast! We headed out to the docks for portraits filled with laughter and genuine moments. Then, I stole the newlyweds away for some quiet couple portraits. The golden hour light wrapped around them like a warm hug, making every image glow with that dreamy, vintage film vibe I love to capture.
Reception fun + delicious details…
Inside, the reception was nothing short of stunning. Guests raved about the “Carb Bar,” where mashed potatoes and macaroni were topped with every delicious thing you could imagine — a total hit! The dances were full of emotion, from Alexis and Matt’s first dance to Matt’s dance with his mom and Alexis’ dance with her grandfather. The creative lighting by MJDecorations made for some unforgettable shots. Once the DJ from FM Productions took over, the dance floor was packed all night with epic moves and tons of joy.
It was clear how much love surrounded Alexis and Matt — not just between them, but from all their family and friends celebrating alongside them. What a perfect day from start to finish!
Alexis + Matt, you finally did it! I’m so happy for you both. Here’s to a lifetime filled with love, happiness, and endless fun!
