In the words of Andrew: “Kailin and I met poolside, on the beach in Mexico, on spring break, with one too many tequila shots in our systems!” I mean… can you even?! These two met in the most iconic, rom-com-worthy way—both seniors at Penn State, both totally unaware they’d just met their soulmate. Kailin even texted her sister the night they met and said, “I just found the one.” I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Their wedding day was every bit as perfect as their meet-cute. A heartfelt ceremony, a dreamy reception by the water, and all the classic coastal elegance. It was such a joy to photograph—especially with that vintage film vibe I always chase as a wedding photographer in Mystic, Connecticut.
A ceremony + reception full of heart…
The day began with a traditional ceremony at Saint Thomas More, where Kailin and Andrew said “I do” surrounded by their closest people. It was emotional in the best way—tears, laughter, and moments that felt like magic behind the lens. Paul Murphy officiated with such warmth and grace, and you could feel the love in the room.
Following the ceremony, guests headed to the gorgeous Woodway Beach Club for a reception that felt like something out of a coastal daydream. Think ocean views, glowing light, and that salty breeze that makes your dress float just right in photos. Dana Miele brought everything together seamlessly, while Susan Edgar created the most romantic florals—classic white blooms with soft greenery that tied the whole look together.
Dinner was catered in-house by the Woodway Beach Club and every bite was just as beautiful as the setting. Mo Prester, their DJ, kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long.
Beach wedding style + details you’ll never forget…
Kailin looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Bridal Trousseau—timeless, elegant, and so her. Her bridesmaids wore classic navy blue dresses from Azazie, and Andrew looked sharp in a black suit from Men’s Wearhouse. I always love when couples go with that clean, classic look—it never goes out of style.
Also, can we talk about the vintage car they rented for the day? It made for the dreamiest portraits. Honestly, some of my favorite images of the whole season came from those quiet moments between the ceremony and reception, just the two of them, soaking it all in.
Kailin + Andrew, thank you for trusting me to capture your love in a way that feels real, emotional, and a little like art. Your day had it all—meaningful moments, timeless details, and the kind of energy that makes this job so special.
If you’re planning a classic coastal wedding and love the look of vintage-inspired, emotional imagery, I’d love to be your wedding photographer in Mystic, Connecticut. These are the days you’ll want to relive forever—and I’m here to make sure you can.
