Exchanging “I do’s” in front of a boat dock… does it get more dreamy than that? Taylor + Tyler’s wedding at Saybrook Point Inn was coastal New England perfection. This spot, nestled right on the water, is such a hidden gem for weddings—especially for couples who want that classic shoreline vibe with a little upscale charm. As a wedding photographer based in Mystic, Connecticut, I live for these intimate, emotional moments with a vintage feel, and this day? It had all the magic.
Getting ready moments with the girls…
I started the morning hanging out with Taylor and her girls while the glam squad from Upstyle worked their magic. It was such a chill vibe—coffee, music, laughter, and that slow build-up of excitement. Taylor wore a stunning BHLDN gown that looked like it was made just for her. Seriously, the fit, the fabric, the way it moved—it was giving modern romantic in the best way. Her bridesmaids wore soft, dusty rose dresses from David’s Bridal, which paired beautifully with the classic New England backdrop.
An emotional walk down the aisle…
Taylor and Tyler chose not to do a first look, which made their ceremony feel even more emotional. The moment Tyler saw her walking down the aisle? His reaction was so raw and real—his eyes filled with tears, and you could feel the love just radiating from him. These are the kinds of moments I feel so honored to capture as a photographer. They’re fleeting, but they’re also the memories that will last a lifetime.
Waterfront vows + a golden hour glow…
Their ceremony took place right on the dock at Saybrook Point Inn, with the boats bobbing in the background and soft coastal breezes adding the perfect touch. The floral design by Erin Johnston was breathtaking—simple, elegant blooms with muted tones and greenery that complemented the setting so perfectly. It all felt timeless, like something out of a vintage romance film.
After the ceremony, we snuck away for some golden hour portraits, and wow—this is why I do what I do. That dreamy light + real emotion = magic. Every frame felt like a painting. These quiet in-between moments are what I live for.
Dancing into the night…
The celebration continued inside with dinner and dancing, thanks to Power Posse Productions who kept the party going all night long. The space was beautifully set by the Saybrook Point Inn team, and the cake by Kims Cottage Confections was both stunning and delicious (yes, I snuck a bite). Tyler and his groomsmen looked sharp in classic tuxes from Toscano’s Men’s Shop, and live music from pianist Jon Thomas during cocktail hour added such a classy touch to the evening.
This day was filled with love, happy tears, and so many little moments that felt like pure magic. Taylor + Tyler, thank you for trusting me to document this chapter of your story. You two are the real deal.
