Alec and Emily’s love story truly proves that sometimes, the best relationships take time to bloom. After a rocky first encounter, Alec finally won over Emily during their senior year in college, and as she puts it, “the rest is history!” Fast forward a few years, and these two lovebirds were celebrating their union in the stunning setting of Water’s Edge Resort & Spa in Mystic, Connecticut.

Vows on the water…

From the moment Emily walked down the aisle, you could feel the warmth and emotion in the air. The gorgeous waterfront venue was the perfect backdrop for their romantic July wedding. The couple chose a soft color palette of white and baby blue, which complemented the natural beauty of the location. The light, airy tones paired perfectly with Emily’s auburn hair, which looked absolutely stunning against her wedding dress from Love Bird Bridal Shop.

Before the ceremony, Emily and Alec shared an intimate first look on the beach, capturing a sweet, private moment before the excitement of the day unfolded. Their love was evident in every glance, every touch.

The ceremony took place outside, with the breathtaking views of the water behind them as they exchanged their vows. It was an incredibly emotional moment as Emily and Alec promised forever in front of their loved ones. Leo, their adorable dog, even made an appearance to add some extra cuteness to the already perfect scene!

After their beautiful ceremony, the couple and their guests headed inside for an unforgettable reception. The indoor space at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa was transformed into a dream, filled with the most gorgeous florals from Sayles Livingston Design. The cake, also provided by the venue, was the perfect finishing touch to an amazing celebration.

The reception was full of laughter, love, and plenty of dancing thanks to the incredible tunes provided by Dawson Entertainment. Everyone had an unforgettable time celebrating Emily and Alec’s love. The couple’s unique personalities were reflected in every detail, from the perfectly curated florals to the personalized touches throughout the evening.
