Alexa + Chris are two of the sweetest humans and their Watch Hill engagement session is a favorite of mine! They grew up living only a 3 minute walk away from each other and have been friends since they were young kids! Their siblings had always been best friends, so as they both grew up, they were a constant in each other’s lives and always stayed close! Alexa said although they never officially dated until college years, but that it was always him! I mean… C’MON! How SWEET is that?!! They’ve been together for over 8 years now and this August they’re finally getting MARRIED!!
Here’s Alexa’s take on their proposal:
“Chris and I bought a house this past Summer/Fall I knew we would get engaged in the near future, but after that big purchase I knew 2019 was out of the question… I was wrong. It was a beautiful Sunday in September. We had made plans to go to a winery. Chris and I arrived and there was barely anyone there, just the employees. Chris wanted us to sit on the top balcony that overlooks the apple orchard and you can see the Hartford Skyline. When we got to the top floor he guided me to a well decorated table in the corner (Fall themed… my favorite). On the table was a small white pumpkin that said C+A and the date. At that point I knew… I started crying. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I quickly learned that he rented out the whole top floor of the winery, so shortly after the proposal both of our families came and celebrated. He did SUCH a good job!”
They chose to do their engagement photos on the beach in Watch Hill which is one of my FAVORITE locations! Their session was filled with so many sweet moments and so much laughter as well! I feel like we really captured who they are together as a couple. And on top of that, both of Alexa’s outfits were just PERFECT! I love a good childhood love story and I cannot wait for these two to officially tie the knot in August at the gorgeous Newport Beach House. It sure is a long time coming!
Congrats you two!!
