The first day of forever
I can’t help but smile everytime I think back to Morgan + Will’s big day! I probably say this about every wedding I shoot because I truly am still in shock that I get to call this my JOB, but there was just something special about this day. To start it off, The Sullivan House made for the most perfect venue.
With a stunning bridal suite, we started the day off drinking tequila shots (out of a custom bottle featuring their new last name!) while getting both of them ready to walk down the aisle. Both Morgan and Will’s parties were a BLAST! The girls matched in the morning in their black + white satin PJ’s and the guys in their classic black suits from Jos. A. Bank. Morgan was dressed in the most AMAZING fitted trumpet lace gown from Mariella Creations that fit her like a glove. Every time the wind picked up her veil, she literally looked like a goddess!
The happy couple exchanged their vows under the most gorgeous pointed arch crafted of driftwood and decorated with florals by Painted Rock Designs. The ceremony was officiated by the bride’s Godmother, Kristin, so it was personalized with so many kind words and touching memories! After the ceremony, their guests were ready to party and DJ, Wyllie Entertainment had no problem getting everyone out of the dance floor! Their epic dance party made for such fun photos during the reception… just wait until you see them!!
Some of my favorite moments from their day include the bridesmaids’ reactions to seeing Morgan as a bride for the first time, the sweetest first look between the (almost!!) married couple, all the FUN we had during wedding party portraits (which yes, did include the girls wheelbarrow-ing Will around!), and the most heartfelt speeches at their tented reception.
I’ll always look back on this day with a smile and am so grateful they invited me along for the ride. Congrats Morgan + Will, you two are one of a kind and I cannot wait to watch your love grow as you start this new journey called marriage!
xo, Ames
