Robey + Iqbal… talk about kind souls. These two threw the sweetest, most intimate wedding day at the timeless Latitude 41 here in Mystic, Connecticut. Surrounded by just 50 of their closest friends and family, their wedding was the perfect mix of simple, heartfelt, and oh-so-romantic.
A church ceremony with vintage charm…
The couple started their day with a traditional ceremony at Mystic Congregational Church. The church itself is classic New England charm, and it added the perfect sense of history and warmth to their vows. Watching them exchange rings in such a meaningful space was such an emotional moment to witness—it honestly felt like a scene out of a vintage film.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way over to Latitude 41, just steps from the Mystic Seaport, for a semi-formal reception that felt like a cozy dinner party with a touch of elegance. Think soft rustic details, wildflower blooms, and string music floating through the air as the sun dipped behind the harbor.
The dress, the details + all the magic…
Robey looked absolutely stunning in her lace two-piece gown from The White Dress by the Shore. The long-sleeved top had the most delicate lace detailing and cuffed sleeves (seriously, swoon-worthy), paired with a dreamy tulle overskirt she took off after the ceremony. I loved how her look transitioned effortlessly from romantic ceremony to relaxed reception vibes.
The florals were just chef’s kiss. Montville Florist created the most colorful, wildflower-inspired arrangements that brought the whole day to life. Robey’s bouquet was bursting with texture and color—honestly what summer wedding dreams are made of.
Everything about the day felt personal. From the live string music by Ariana Strings, to the couple’s choice of handmade truffle favors from Nafiyah Truffles, every detail reflected Robey + Iqbal’s warm and intentional love.
Golden hour, dancing + so much joy…
During golden hour, we snuck away for some portraits by the water. These two were naturals in front of the camera—laughing, cuddling, and soaking in the moment like no one else was around. It’s those in-between, real moments that make wedding photography feel like art to me.
After dinner, which was catered by Coastal Gourmet, the reception kicked off with heartfelt speeches and so much dancing. Guests enjoyed cake by Mystic Market (yes, it was as good as it looked!) and snapped fun pics in the vintage-style booth from Photobooth Planet.
And can we talk about the glam? Robey’s hair and makeup were done by Essence Center for Beauty and Wellness, while her bridal party got ready with the team from Posh Salon. Everyone looked effortlessly beautiful, and the whole vibe of the day felt relaxed and joyful from start to finish.
What a joy it was to capture Robey + Iqbal’s day. From the emotional ceremony to the carefree dance floor moments, everything felt like it came straight from the heart. Here’s a little peek into their wedding—filled with love, laughter, and all the vintage film feels.
