Hope Artiste Village Wedding {12.16.17}

What made Kelly and Andrew’s Hope Artiste Village wedding so freaking awesome?? Aside, of course, from the two of them and their amazingly fun personalities. I’m talking about the fact that their style was so on point and almost everything about this wedding had the most personal touches. From their wedding bands they made together, to the snow globe-ish centerpieces with a travel inspired scene. And what they didn’t make, still had sentimental value. Kelly wore her mothers veil, and headband, her grandfathers ring. Kelly’s mom handmade the fur shrugs that the girls wore, and their adorable mittens. The flower girls outfits were even also hand made! And while they didn’t hand make the officiant, also Andrew, he was a very close friend of the bride and groom. Just one more way to make this wedding all theirs!

Kelly and Andrew started the wedding day getting ready a few doors down from each other at the super trendy Dean Hotel in downtown Providence. This hotel was a perfect fit for this couple with its cool decor. Kelly + Andrew didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, but they had the idea to get in some wedding photos together anyways. It was a tricky and hysterical process, everyone riding the bus together, photographing them separately, leading Andrew to Kelly without him peeking. We stood them back to back and even had Kelly kiss him on the cheek, I think it was pure torture for Andrew not to see how gorgeous she looked!

After their non first look first look, we headed to the Hope Artiste Village, the most unique venue I have ever shot at. What, just a couple of hours earlier, was an indoor farmers market, full of fresh foods and locally made gifts was now decked out in string lights, candles and winter foliage. All of this is sitting in the middle of a huge industrial brick warehouse, with of course a huge painting of an Awful Awful on the wall because, well, Rhode Island.

Kelly walked down the aisle with her father, and Andrew’s reaction was worth the wait. He was very obviously in awe of just how beautiful she looked and had to hold back the tears. You know who didn’t hold back the tears was one of the adorable flower girls, who just got it. She totally understood the moment somehow and cried when Kelly walked down! So cute. After some beautiful vows and rings, Kelly + Andrew were pronounced husband and wife. We took photos as guests enjoyed cocktail hour at Breaktime Bowl and Bar, on the next floor. Cocktail hour was held in an actual bowling alley with the lanes open and everything. It was very cool!

The reception space looked like a sparkly twinkly winter wonderland, thanks to Kelly’s vision and Drape Art Designs execution. The couple shared a first dance, with some pretty sweet dance moves. Andrew’s brother sang as him and his mom danced together, and Kelly shared an equally sweet dance with her father. There were a couple more highlights of the night, including the best man’s and maid of honors speeches, both which brought more tears, and I can’t not mention the unbelievable dessert table thanks to Amy’s Apples + Devilish Delights. OMG they were the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Almost too pretty to eat! Allllllmost 😉

Kelly + Andrew’s Hope Artiste Village wedding day was an absolute delight to be a part of. I loved every ounce of the creativity that they poured into on this day, and how genuine and obvious and radiant their love truly is. I can’t wait to see you guys continue on this most amazing journey, and watch all of your dreams come true.
