Jessica + Kyle were two University of Delaware friends turned long-distance lovers after graduating and moving 6 hours a part! Now, after dating for 9 years, they call New England home which made Downtown Mystic the perfect spot for their engagement photos!
In July of 2012, they went on their very first date to a pizza place on the water in Wilmington, DE. She said they both drank a few too many Coronas which they credit to nerves 😉 From that point on, Jessica said they continued their long-distance relationship and she knew early on that Kyle was her person! She said every time they had to leave each other, it felt like a piece of her was leaving. Isn’t that just the sweetest?! After dating for 7 years, on August 23, 2019, Kyle made it official and asked her to be his wife on Bluff Point while watching the sunset together in her favorite spot. It was the perfect start to forever!!
Jessica and Kyle told me they love adventuring together! Whether that’s a crazy adventure like hiking or ziplining OR more simple, everyday adventures like exploring downtown Mystic or finding a new brewery, as long as they’re together, they’re happy. They said they are huge game players, and are always on the lookout for new 2-player games they can do together! One thing I love about their engagement session is that they chose to incorporate so much of what they love into it!
You’ll see this as you scroll through some of my favorite photos in this blog, but we started their session in Downtown Mystic on the bridge and by the water just capturing the two of them simply being together! We then walked over to a brewery and I photographed them as they drank beer and played Yahtzee together! Simple, but so them and such good memories they’re going to love having forever!!
So excited for this November at the gorgeous Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, CT, as these two finally get to celebrate with their families and declare their vows to the world!!
