Their one-of-a-kind, DIY wedding day…
Chelsey + Scott are F.U.N. human beings! They both radiate joy and Chelsey’s contagious smile can light up any space she walks into!!! I met these two officially at their Napatree Point, Rhode Island engagement session which was absolutely incredible (see for yourself here!). We had so much fun exploring the sandy beach and jumping around in the water at the end for some epic (and steamy!!) shots! It will always be a favorite day of mine.
Their wedding day was no different. This eclectic couple had so many unique and personalized details built into their big day, here are a few of my favorites:
- The entire day took place at Chelsey’s parents’ home which was filled with so many memories, making their day even more special!
- Her engagement ring featured a stone from her grandmother (who sadly passed last year) that Scott has set in a new way. Her wedding band paired nicely with it and was also sentimental with sapphires in homage to the sapphires in her mother’s engagement ring. How sweet is that?!
- Their invitation suite which was designed and put together by Chelsey.
- The florals were done by a close friend of hers and included stems (and tomatoes!!) from Chelsey’s mother’s garden!
- The food tables at the reception were buffet style and themed around countries or places they have lived in the past.
- Their specialty cocktail offered to the guests was a blueberry mojito including herbs grown by and blueberries harvested by Chelsey.
- The bridal party was all gifted beaded accessories (belts for the guys and jewelry for the girls) which played off of Chelsey’s South African heritage.
Other than those amazing details, there were so many moments from their day that just make me smile like Chelsey + Scott’s first look (his reaction was amazing!), all of their romantic couple portraits where you can just see their love overflowing, and how much FUN they (and their guests) had during the reception! It was a real PARTY!!!
Chelsey + Scott… you two are one of a kind, and your love story is SO special!! I am so honored to have been chosen to be just a small part of it! Here’s to many more years of laughter and crazy love!
xo, Ames
