{Rhode Island Wedding 8.7.21}
Chelsey and Scott are the kind of people who just radiate good vibes. From the minute we met at their Napatree Point engagement session (which was seriously one for the books—complete with beach walks and steamy ocean shots!), I knew their Rhode Island wedding day would be something truly special. And oh wow, was it ever.
A backyard wedding filled with personal touches…
The entire celebration took place at Chelsey’s parents’ home, and that alone made it so meaningful. Every corner of the property held a memory, and you could feel the love in the air. It was the kind of space where stories live—and now, Chelsey + Scott’s wedding day is one of them.
Let’s talk details, because these two brought the magic in every way:
- Chelsey’s engagement ring was a stunning heirloom, featuring a stone from her late grandmother. Scott had it reset in a new design that felt both modern and sentimental. Her wedding band was just as meaningful, with sapphires as a nod to her mom’s engagement ring.
- The invitation suite? Hand-designed and assembled by Chelsey herself! Every piece was crafted with love and intention.
- The florals, designed by a close family friend, included stems from her mom’s garden… and even a few surprise tomatoes! It was wild and whimsical in the best way.
- Their reception dinner was so them—buffet-style with food tables themed around the countries and cities they’ve lived in. It felt like stepping into a mini world tour of their love story.
- Signature cocktails? Oh yes. Guests sipped on a blueberry mojito made with herbs and blueberries grown by Chelsey. Honestly, iconic.
- Their bridal party accessories were a nod to Chelsey’s South African heritage—beaded belts for the guys, beaded jewelry for the girls. It was such a beautiful touch.
So many unforgettable moments…
There were so many moments from their day that made my heart burst. Scott’s reaction during their first look? Pure gold. You could see the love in his eyes. Their couple portraits were everything—emotional, romantic, and full of that vintage film feel I love capturing.
And don’t even get me started on the reception! The dance floor was electric. Their friends and family showed up ready to celebrate, and it turned into a full-blown party by the end of the night.
Chelsey + Scott, your day was so full of heart. It was the kind of wedding that reminds me why I do what I do—to tell stories that feel like art and preserve those fleeting, emotional moments forever. I’ll never forget it.
Here’s to a lifetime of wild love, deep joy, and blueberry mojitos on sunny porches. 💛
